    This webpage is updated regularly, documenting key events in Timor-Leste's political history since 1974, with a particular emphasis upon coming to terms with the 2006 crisis.
    . Commission for Reception, Truth and Reconciliation in East Timor (CAVR)
    This is the official website of the Commission for Reception, Truth and Reconciliation in East Timor. It contains an array of information including recent and past media releases, reports and other documents.
    . East Timor: An Introduction to the History, Politics and Culture of Southeast Asia's Youngest Nation
    Academic Andrea K. Molnar's comprehensive web course for the Department of Anthropology and Center for Southeast Asian Studies, Northern Illinois University, May 2005. The course includes sections on reconciliation and internal security issues as well as many bibliographic references.
    . East Timor Law Journal
    This website is dedicated to publishing resources and research material pertaining to the formal legal system in Timor-Leste. As well as journal articles, the website contains valuable resources such as parliamentary acts and progress reports on high-level court cases.
    . East Timor Legal Information Site
    This website includes links to the laws of Timor-Leste, a listing of East Timorese lawyers, a listing of East Timorese Legal Agencies, as well as updates on Legal News. It also includes an extensive database of media releases and reports pertaining to the 2006 crisis.
    . The East Timor and Indonesian Action Network (ETAN)
    ETAN is an activist network and was founded in 1991 to support the East Timorese struggle for self-determination and human rights justice. Since Timor-Leste's independence ETAN has revised its role to be a United States-based grassroots organization that "educates, organizes, and advocates for human rights, women's rights, societal and economic justice, democracy and genuine self-determination in East Timor". The organization is particularly concerned with "justice for historic and ongoing crimes against humanity, war crimes, and human rights violations", and this website includes many materials relevant to the themes of justice and security.
    . International Center for Transitional Justice
    The International Center for Transitional Justice (ICTJ) works with government and non-government bodies in countries that are attempting to recover from extensive human rights abuses or atrocities. In particular the ICTJ works to promote justice, peace and reconciliation. The above webpage contains background information about transitional justice in Timor-Leste and gives details of the ICTJ's in-country activity, such as with the Serious Crimes Unit and the Commission for Reception, Truth and Reconciliation.
    . Judicial System Monitoring Programme
    This multilingual site details the work of the Judicial System Monitoring Programme (JSMP) as well as providing many resources on the formal justice system in Timor-Leste.
    . United Nations Integrated Mission in Timor-Leste (UNMIT) and the United Nations agencies in Timor-Leste
    UNMIT is the current United Nations mission in Timor-Leste and was established on 25 August 2006 as a response to the socio-political crisis affecting Timor-Leste since April. This site provides comprehensive information about the mission as well as detailing the work of the individual UN agencies.
